  Subject: Internal Server Error - First Time Setup

Hello and thank you very much for this wonderful script, although I would be much more apprechiative if I could get it to work.

I am absolutely stumped or otherwise I would not be comming for help, I have exhausted every resource I know.

OK I setup the bizmail.cgi. Uploaded it to my cgi-bin, and then set all of the permissions.

When I click the submit button I get the 500 Internal Error message.

My server os is linux. I am running 2.0, bizmail.cgi.

Please Please help me!

Thank you in advance.

Joe

OK I tried to get assistance from my web host and this is the error message that they came up with:

malformed header from script. Bad header=Failed to load: /home/ultrad52/public_html/cgi-bin/bizmail.cgi

Well everything is working fine, except when the post is successfull. all error pages are working fine and so on. I would have to say it is 1 of 2 problems.

1. The path to sendmail or SMTP is incorrect or the selected sending option you are using SENDMAIL OR SMTP is not supported on your server. I would check with your host on this.

2. Make sure that in your cgi script that you have the value setup for.

$sendto{"3"} = "mail3\@yourdomain.com";

IS PROPERLY CONFIGURED
&
$cc_to{"1"} = "ccmail\@yourdomain.com";

ARE BOTH PROPERLY CONFIGURED IN YOUR CGI SCRIPT.

ALSO I did try testing the form by creating my own and posting it from my desktop, but you have setokurl enabled. If you would like after checking with your server if you do not find what is wrong, you may want to disable setokurl in the script, so I can test it.

Let me know either way.

Seth

Thank you very much for your time. I resolved the problem. The script is working great.

The problem was, I am using ws_ftp and I have the transfer setting set to "Auto" (meaning the program chooses either binary or ascii). Well normally this option is fine, but when uploading a CGI script it is necessary to manually select ASCII Transfer mode.

Thanks again.!
