| "The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request."
and in the log it says..
"Can't call method "mail" on an undefined value at C:/Apache/Apache2/htdocs/cgi-bin/bizmail.cgi line 928., referer: http://www.viperkb.com:8000/form.html"
I dont know what to do and would really like to use this function (i have it turned off to stop the error)
I have it set to smtp.
I couldn't get the sendmail to work so i swithed it.
I am running:
win NT
apache 2
Any help would be great

| Keith, I'm sorry I accidently deleted your last post without reading it. I was trying to delete a post that some one was advertising there business. Anyway, I tested your form and do not encounter any errors. I just do not get the autoresponse. The problem probably is that you do not have the correct smtp server information in the script under the variable $smtp in bizmail.cgi!
You will have to check with your web hosting provider to see, 1. If your web host supports SMTP, and 2. What the smtp address is. It is ushualy smtp.YourHostsDomainName.com.
Let Me know how you fare.

| yeah i saw that u tested it...
and the reason why you didn't get the error message was because i have it turned off so the error message doesn't appear...
ill turn it on so you can check it out.
i am using smtp for it to send the regular form out (and that works). so i dont see why it wouldn't send one to you...
ill turn it on right now and leave it on untill you check it again

| I got the same error. According to my host, my smtp is mail.totally3d.com and it works for sending my form data, but it won't send the autoresponse, and it gives an error for the same line as Keith's did. I have it turned off, but I can turn it on if I need to. I won't unless you say to. Hopefully you'll resolve the problem for Keith, and that will help me too.
