| I'm using IIS and no matter which version of bizmail I use, I get the success page but bizmail.dat remains entirely blank. I'm not using sendmail OR smtp and am only interested in the datafile. So I'm not configuring the script at all, because by defaul, the data should be written to bizmail.dat. What am I doing wrong?

| It sounds like a file permissions problem. The file bizmail.dat must be set to 777. If you are on a windows server, which I would almost bet you are, this is ushualy a one year chore getting them to fix it. If you are on a windows hosting plan I would suggest switching to a linux box. Anyway to set permissions in windows you need to contact your host admin and tell them to set the file to "OWNER", "GROUP" AND "PUBLIC", (READ, WRITE, & EXECUTABLE).
In lamens terms it allows users on your web site to write to the file. If it is not set properly nothing can write to it. In cute ftp you can do this if your hosted on a linux box by right clicking on the file and then

- > Then manualy type in "777" in the MANUAL box
- > then click ok
YOU SHOULD RECEIVE A SUCCESSFULLY CHOMDED PROMPT WHEN DONE.
