  Subject: HTML error pages outside cgi-bin - what's the path?
  Posted: 12/01/2005 at 3:25:21 pm
  By: koopa

Hi,

My host specifies that HTML pages must be outside the cgi-bin, but I'm not sure what the path to the HMTL error pages should be. This is the full path to my files:

/home/MYUSERID/public_html/

The cgi-bin is in the above folder. So if the bizmail scripts are in there but the HTML files are in, say, a folder called 'contact' under public_html, what would the path be to them? i.e what do I enter here:

$HTML_error_page{"1"} = "formerror.html";

/home/MYUSERID/public_html/contact/formerror.html - is this it?

Thanks in advance.

Rob

This may be so with your host... However with Biz Mail Form, when you upload the HTML page, it acts just like a DATA FILE.

So you can upload it to your cgi-bin and be fine, since the HTML page is running through a CGI script...

What your host is saying is that you can not run the actual HTML page on its own from the cgi-bin, which is correct...

Hope this is not confusing...

So basicaly just follow the readme file and you will be fine...

Or I should say, just follow the default settings and you will be fine...
